I ordered the Hokkaido beef curry rice, and the beef portion was terribly little. Taste was not bad but the portion of beef does not worth the price you are paying.

I'm Japanese. I'll write this honest review in English to avoid misunderstanding. I'll try to make it clear and short. For those who think this is authentic Japanese yakiniku (BBQ) it is NOT. 1. The food quality is 3/5 : Average quality. Don't expect the same quality as authentic Japanese yakiniku, because this is definitely NOT authentic. 2. The food portion is 1/5 : THE WORST portion I've ever seen. THE WORST deal. I got shocked. I ordered 3 a la carte meat dishes, and the pricing is obviously higher than the set menus, but how come the portion is less than the set menus? Please explain. Please do the calculation for me. Not just the portion, but they were served in a very thin slice! I'm a petite woman. I finished all 3 dishes within a few bites and am still hungry. 3. The food taste is 2/5 : The cabbage salad has too much dressing and it was too salty. All the meat has too much fat and less meat. 4. Genuineness is 2/5 : On top of the worst portion and value I've ever seen in my 36 years life as a Japanese yakiniku lover, I must say this restaurant is not honest with you. The "Korean Lettuce" is obviously just a regular lettuce and not "Sanchu" the actual Korean lettuce that they usually serve at Yakiniku shop. The actual portion and the images in the menu DO NOT ALIGN. 5. Price and Value is 1/5 : Overpriced for the quality and quantity. I paid S$32.97 for the food that only filled a quarter of my perite stomach. With such price, I can actually eat better food at Orchard. 6. Service is 4/5 : Average service, accommodating staffs. Hence 1 star for their efforts. It's a shame that this restaurant chain use Japanese name but serve low quality food. I have nothing but only regret on my bad decision. I've been working so hard and S$33 I paid didn't even fill up my stomach. 客をナメるな。

The food is not bad. Do take note that it gets quite crowded during lunch on a weekday due to the lunch hour. The beef set is quite affordable for one pax and you can upgrade to curry rice for a few dollars extra. The curry rice and grilled beef is delicious. The ramen that we ordered is not to our liking and it is quite bland in my opinion. Nevertheless, the place has great ambience and friendly staff!

23June2023 we order total of 300g of beef as 200g not enough for. The soup is served hot. I like it. The spicy sauce goes well with the beef. Rice is nice too. Overall I enjoy having meal here. Service is average. Could be due to under staff, waiting time to enter the restaurant take times.

We have gone to several outlets and this venue is one of the restaurants that made full efficient use of space. We have to hand it to them for designing it this way and although we are in public view, its really a win win situation. Good for publicity and also we feel safer since the exit is just 1 step away from the seats. Lets dive in Food: The curry was superb! Beef was thin and portioned well enough. Grilling meat, although small portion, was sufficient. We do know of the price variations and difference in cuts but we do realize that many would not. But in terms of the experience, d timing accounted for is more than sufficient. Service: Staff was very attentive. They are also quick on the servings. Atmosphere: This is well placed and the location is actually visible once you are at the main centre. All in all, we enjoyed it all.. not just at this restaurant, but all the others as well. Thank you

Had an amazing dining experience at Yakiniku Shokudo! The food was fresh, well-seasoned, and served quickly, perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. The variety of meats and side dishes was impressive, and everything was cooked to perfection. A special shoutout to Charles, one of the staff members, who truly made our visit even better. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. His service was top-notch, always checking in with a smile and making sure we had everything we needed. It’s rare to come across such warm and professional service these days. Will definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend this place. Both for the food and the outstanding service! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Yakiniku Shokudo is hands down one of the best spots in town for authentic Japanese BBQ. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the warm, inviting atmosphere and the attentive staff who made the whole dining experience smooth and enjoyable. But the real highlight? The food. Every cut of meat was fresh, beautifully marbled, and bursting with flavor once grilled. The beef especially the Wagyu was melt in your mouth tender, and the variety of dipping sauces enhanced the taste without overpowering it. I also appreciated how the menu offers a great selection for all kinds of eaters, from premium cuts to more affordable options that still pack amazing flavor. Their sides were just as impressive. The kimchi was tangy and fresh, the garlic rice was perfectly seasoned, and the cold noodles made a refreshing balance to the sizzling meats. You can tell they put thought into every dish. Portions were generous, prices were reasonable for the quality, and service was top-notch. Whether you’re a yakiniku enthusiast or trying it for the first time, Yakiniku Shokudo delivers an unforgettable meal. I’ll definitely be back and bringing friends.

The food is nice and the staff is friendly. Barbecue the meat to how i like it and its dam Juicy. And the sauce hit the spot. Marvellicious..... For 4 people it's around $120, we Ordered set a set meal each but after eating the slice barbecue meat, it was sooo juicy that we order 3 more trays. Surprisingly it was not that smokey when we barbecue it. I give it 4.5 out 5 points. if the meat portion is more or if We get discount after eating more then $100, I would give it 5 out 5
