We are told it was once a Kopitiam foodcourt before what is now My Kampung. A familiar name my wife reminded of the delish authentic of old skool kampung style chicken rice that we used to pick up from Sengkang Mall and so I was like that's fantastic that we can savour them more conveniently nearby now. And for us — based on a tip from a beloved old friend who knew how much our Aspie son loves the popular hearty soulfood halal Ban Mian stall at Fork & Spoon — just having their sister stall called Terbaik(The Best) also inside My Kampung is enough reason to pop over. What was a pleasant surprise is to see almost literally all the stalls at the foodcourt offering halal options. From Japanese staple classics to mouth-watering Nasi Padang to inviting Mala Hotpot galore (to the delirious delight of my daughter) to comforting Yong Taufu delights to shiok Curry rice sets to many more we cannot wait to sample and tuck into over time. How wonderful and such a blessing that is for us. And, on top of that, the whole of the expansive Changi City Point mall is teamed with so many familiar and favourite choices of restaurants and eateries that are also halal such that one is spoiled for choices. This is definitely our family's new favourite venue for makan choices which is a short drive away for us at the North East of Upper Changi Road. It is a spacious mall with ample parking spaces. And connected via MRT too. Oh, the mall is also a haven of discounted factory outlet offers from well known brands. What's not to like.

Visited the curry and yong tau foo stalls. The food was pretty good and it was nice to have halal options, but I concurred with other reviews about the general lack of service from the various stalls, esp the Korean stall. While I was checking out the menu at the stall, the staff barked "what you want, what you want" in a very rude manner at the stranger next to me who was also looking at the menu, as if she owed the staff money. We exchanged glances and unanimously decided to walk away and checked out other stalls instead. The unpleasant attitude probably explained the lack of queue at the stall.

TLDR: mala tasteless & expensive @ $2.86/g regardless of vege or meat 1 star for the mala shop, ordered mala dry and more ma, totally no taste at all. is just chilli oil with water. why 1 star? 1st kill: $33 so exp with just vege and abit of popcorn chicken 2nd kill: totally tasteless just water boiled food + diluted chilli oil & water for the sauce totally jiak few mouths and already jiak buey loh. really never gonna patronize this stall anymore, if its exp is ok. but its worse when its exp & ITS NOT EVEN TASTY. not edible at all. not worth the calories. should have actually stick to my ori plan, mcdonalds. at least more worth the $ and calories! 2* for the food court cause not enough seats and v cramp.

Curry rice is so so only. This is very different with hainanese curry chicken. Chicken skin is cripy but the taste have some herbal. a bit weird for me. Egg was fried just nice. The curry sauce is so so, not so much curry taste. The provide some pico and chillies quite okay. Service is good.

I am a huge fan of Mala. In my quest to find the best Mala Hotpot, I tried this Mala Hotpot @ My Kampung. I was absolutely blown away by this mala. This might probably be the best Mala in Singapore. We order this for lunch for 2 people. I grabbed some vege Broccoli, carrots, onion,.chicken, mushroom and 2 block of Maggi noodles. Asked for dry option with spice level - medium. I Had slight fear that it might be too spicy, But the final mala Hotpot dish was well balanced and so flavourful. It was the yummiest mala I have ever tasted. But for this Mala stall, it's just 5 ⭐. i Highly recommend to try this Mala Hotpot. you won't regret. Three cheers for the Mala Hotpot stall Just be mindful to sit somewhere far away as the air near the main stalls have very strong overpowering wierd oudor. Management need to seriously work on ventilation. Two star less for atmosphere.
